Based in BRIGHT (Bristol Research on the Intersection of Gender, Health, and Trauma), Sandi is an applied health researcher. She designs and evaluates healthcare and public health-based interventions for under-served groups, primarily people affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. She has (co)-led interdisciplinary health-related research for 15+ years, with methodological expertise in qualitative methods and survey development. Her projects include PRESSURE and PHRIDA, which have aimed to improve mental health, safety, and work-related outcomes for healthcare professionals experiencing domestic abuse. Alongside, she has a programme of work about the intersection of cancer and domestic abuse.
