Behnam Jafari Salim SFHEA is a Digital Learning Specialist at the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, King’s College London. He was named Educator of the Year 2025 by the British Journal of Nursing for his contributions to nursing education as co-creator and technical lead of King’s Virtual Placement, an initiative setting a new standard for simulated practice learning and primary care simulation. His expertise spans implementation of virtual reality (VR), AI-led simulation, and the design of experiential and blended learning strategies. Behnam’s research and publications explore VR, AI, and student perceptions of immersive and simulated learning, examining how emerging technologies and educational technologies are shaping the future of nursing education.
